The third APHEN-ICH International Seminar titled ‘Diversity and Distinctiveness: Looking into Shared ICH in the Asia-Pacific’ will take place on 18th and 19th February 2021 at 3:00 pm Seoul time (7:00 am Paris time). This seminar is hosted by the International Information and Networking Centre for Intangible Cultural Heritage in the Asia-Pacific Region under the Auspices of UNESCO (ICHCAP), in cooperation with the UNESCO Bangkok Office and Korea National University of Cultural Heritage (KNUCH).

Countries in Asia Pacific are deeply connected by a long history of interactions, exchanges, flows of people, goods, and ideas that have shaped shared values, practices, and traditions. This event aims to analyze not only the diversity of the living heritage in the region but also its values, which make it an important factor in maintaining cultural diversity and enhancing international dialogue and peace.
This online event will feature twelve presentations from scholars and experts on cultural heritage and relevant areas of study from different countries in the Asia-Pacific region.

To take part in the webinar you need to pre-register online. The live streaming will be available through ICHCAP’s YouTube channel in English and Korean and viewers will be able to ask questions and contribute their ideas through a Youtube live chat. Additional information is available on the ICHCAP website.

This event is associated with the Living Heritage Entity’s ongoing work on tertiary education networking.
