The learning platform for safeguarding intangible cultural heritage provides materials that address various aspects of the implementation of the 2003 Convention for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage.
It serves a wide range of actors and stakeholders involved at different levels in safeguarding intangible cultural heritage, including government officials, community or NGO members, culture and heritage professionals, teachers, and living heritage experts. To adapt to the diversity of contexts and needs, the platform will offer:
- Self-learning courses covering key aspects of the safeguarding of intangible cultural heritage.
- Resources for living heritage experts including the Global Network of Facilitators, such as materials, course templates, and links to reference documents.
- A personal dashboard to track progress and access certificates.
- A frequently asked questions (FAQ) section to address the most common queries.
This platform is under development: more courses, and in other languages, will be made available soon.
