Sharing good safeguarding experiences - UNESCO Patrimonio cultural inmaterial

Welcome to the preliminary version of the Platform for sharing good safeguarding experiences.

Here you will find inspiration in the pilot set of approaches and measures successfully implemented by communities worldwide to address specific safeguarding needs in the field of living heritage.

This version reflects the ‘early harvest’ of developments underway, with reference to the step-by-step approach set by the Committee for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage for the establishment of a platform for sharing good safeguarding experiences.

Currently under development, the future platform aims to provide an online space for communities and other stakeholders of the 2003 Convention to collaborate, build capacities and share good safeguarding experiences, with a view to serving as a tool and source of inspiration for people seeking safeguarding advice. The establishment of the platform for sharing good safeguarding experiences is one of the main goals identified by the reflection on a broader implementation of Article 18 of the 2003 Convention. It is being made possible thanks to the generous support of the Republic of Korea and the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
