A workshop dedicated to developing concrete plans for the safeguarding of intangible cultural heritage in Greece is to be held online from 31 May to 4 June 2021. This five-day workshop aims at sharing experiences and exchanging informal knowledge essential for the development of safeguarding plans. This will be made possible through the exploration of diverse scenarios and others playful activities.

Ms Harriet Deacon and Ms Benedetta Ubertazzi, experienced facilitators from the UNESCO’s facilitator’s global network, will conduct the workshop. Thanks to the facilitators’ involvement, both Greek and international participants will be encouraged to describe the type of safeguarding activities they are to elaborate and implement within their respective institutions. Therefore, the workshop will provide an excellent occasion for peer-learning, networking, and strategic discussions among participants under the framework of the 2003 Convention.

The upcoming workshop is organized jointly by the Regional Centre for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage in South-Eastern Europe, and the Hellenic Ministry of Culture and Sports.
