Organized by UNESCO and the Regional Centre for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage in South-Eastern Europe, based in Sofia, Bulgaria, the workshop will take place from 1 to 3 October in Plovdiv, Bulgaria and will discuss how safeguarding of living heritage can contribute towards the achievement of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
Some of the questions that will be explored during the training of trainers workshop are: what are the linkages between intangible cultural heritage safeguarding and sustainable development? ; How living heritage can contribute to increasing communities resilience in emergencies? ; And, how policy makers could integrate the safeguarding of intangible cultural heritage in their plans and programmes?
