Prins-Solani is a specialist in education, culture and heritage. Her work experience over the past three decades has been in both the areas of conserving and safeguarding tangible and intangible cultural heritage; that is, built heritage, material culture and living heritage of the everyday.
Her current PhD research explores the ways in which living heritage, memory and interior worlds can inform transformative and inclusive urban planning. She believes that culture and heritage is a catalyst for spatial justice and places of belonging and this has led to her continued collaborations with local community based organisations and non-governmental agencies.
