Saruul Arslan is Head of Registration and Documentation at the National Center for Cultural Heritage in Mongolia and a member of the Global Facilitators’ Network under the 2003 Convention. With a background in law and cultural studies, she has coordinated multiple projects on safeguarding intangible cultural heritage, including epic traditions, folk long song, and foodways. Her expertise spans community-based inventorying, nomination processes, disaster risk and climate change, traditional crafts and education. She has published widely on Mongolian costumes and ICH safeguarding, and is currently a PhD candidate researching cultural resilience.
