In 2019, the European Young Heritage Professionals Forum brought together 28 young heritage professionals to address challenges they face in safeguarding of tangible and intangible cultural heritage, and to explore innovative ways to address them. The Forum was successful in building a network of young cultural heritage messengers at the European, national and local levels. Nearly two years on, this network remains vibrant in promoting the message of heritage in Europe and is committed to encouraging young people to play an active role in the protection and safeguarding of their cultural heritage.

The upcoming “European Youth and Heritage” webinar is organized by UNESCO to facilitate a more youth interaction on heritage at the European level and beyond. The webinar aims to provide an opportunity for young heritage professionals to learn about the outcomes of the European Young Heritage Professionals Forum and exchange with the Forum participants. The webinar will also be an opportunity to discover youth-led projects from the participants of the Forum, which have developed into successful heritage initiatives around Europe.

To join the upcoming webinar on “European Youth and Heritage” being held on 23 April 2021 from 14:00 to 15:30 Paris time, register here.
