Lovemore Mazibuko is the Executive Director of Foundation for Cultural Heritage Preservation in Malawi. He holds a B.Ed, MSc and PhD in Strategic Management from Malawi. He also has a PGD (Museum Studies). Dr. Mazibuko is former Director of Museums and Monuments (2021-2026). He served as National Coordinator of ICH programmes (2009-2021) and Chair of NICHC (2021-2026). Dr. Mazibuko is a member of the global facilitators ntwork. He was instrumental in implementing intangible cultural heritage programmes in Malawi and oversaw the inscription of five elements on the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. He has vast knowledge working on ICH-related field such as community-based inventorying of living heritage, development of safeguarding measures, preparation of nomination files, development of international assistance requests, and living heritage and Sustainable Development, Policy Development in the field of living heritage, as well as Periodic Reporting. Internationally, he has participated in a number of UNESCO sponsored workshops.
