Alexandra Denes is a socio-cultural anthropologist and a member of the global facilitators network of the 2003 Convention (since 2015) specializing in the implementation of the 2003 Convention for the Safeguarding of Intangible Cultural Heritage. With over 25 years of experience in Southeast Asia, she has facilitated national and regional capacity-building workshops on community-based inventorying, safeguarding planning, periodic reporting, and nomination processes. Her work emphasizes participatory, community-centered approaches and the integration of living heritage into sustainable development. She also promotes synergies with UNESCO frameworks, including the Creative Cities Network and the Global Network of Learning Cities.
