Ebtisam Alwehaibi is the General Manager of the Intangible Cultural Heritage Sector at Saudi Arabia’s Heritage Commission, Ministry of Culture (2021–present) overseeing research, documentation, safeguarding, and strategic planning initiatives for the sustainability of cultural heritage. A member of the global facilitators network since 2019, she supports States Parties in implementing the 2003 Convention through capacity-building workshops and advisory services. Previously,she headed the ICH Department at the Saudi Heritage Preservation Society (2015–2020) an accredited NGO in the field of ICH. She is a Board member of Saudi ICOMOS, ICOM and the Intangible Heritage Association, and a member of ICICH scientific committee.
