This lesson plan, tailored for 7th-grade students in Nepal, seamlessly integrates health and physical education with mathematics and social studies. Teachers will introduce students to the Mha Puja ritual and the process of making mandalas, linking cultural practices with creativity. The curriculum will further reinforce students’ mathematical skills, including but not limited to measurement and division skills, by involving them in the planning of a balanced diet. Through this holistic approach, students will gain an understanding of the significance of a well-balanced diet for overall health and, more significantly, develop a profound sense of self-respect, cultural appreciation, and an awareness of the importance of Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH) knowledge of their society.
