Tsinghua Art Lecture & "The 3rd National Exhibition of Outstanding Graduation Works from University Arts and Crafts Majors" Series Academic Activities
In response to the 2025 International Day for Intangible Cultural Heritage, the Academy of Arts & Design, Tsinghua University, in collaboration with the Chinese Traditional Culture Museum (CTCM) and relying on “The 3rd National Exhibition of Outstanding Graduation Works from University Arts and Crafts Majors”, holds this series of academic activities under the Tsinghua Art Lecture.
The initiative focuses on promoting research, creativity, and collaboration in the field of intangible cultural heritage safeguarding. It brings together experts, educators, and practitioners to exchange ideas on innovative approaches to intangible cultural heritage safeguarding and transmission.
The event highlights the importance of integrating academic research with community-based practices, fostering dialogue between universities, cultural institutions, and heritage bearers. By doing so, it aims to strengthen educational approaches, encourage interdisciplinary exchange, and contribute to the vitality and sustainability of living heritage in China.
Programme
- 13:30~13:40: Host Wang Xiaoxin (Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Academy of Arts & Design, Tsinghua University) introduces the guests;
- 13:40~13:50: Secretary Qin Chuan (relevant leader of the Academy of Arts & Design, Tsinghua University), a leader of the organizing unit, delivers a speech;
- 13:50~14:40: Keynote speaker Wang Chenyang (Secretary of the Party Committee, Chinese Traditional Culture Museum
) gives an academic lecture (about 50 minutes, including PPT presentation); - 14:50~15:20: The host organizes 3-4 guests for discussion, including Su Dan (Deputy Director, Chinese Traditional Culture Museum
), Chen Anying (Director of the Department of Art History and Theory, Academy of Arts & Design, Tsinghua University), and Yang Peizhang (Secretary of the Party Branch of the Department of Arts and Crafts, Academy of Arts & Design, Tsinghua University), to conduct discussions around the keynote speaker’s speech.
