Expert meeting to mark the 20th anniversary of the UNESCO Convention for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage in Slovenia

Slovenia ratified the Convention for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage in 2008, and the Slovene Ethnographic Museum has been performing the role of the national Coordinator for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage since 2011.

At the expert meeting the bearers and experts in intangible cultural heritage, as well as the representatives of the Ministry of Culture, which is in charge for the implementation of the Convention in Slovenia, will be participating. The main themes of the meeting will be presentations of good practices of safeguarding of the intangible cultural heritage in Slovenia and the possibility of obtaining funds for the bearers of elements of ICH inscribed into the national Register of the Intangible Cultural Heritage.
