The start of the nineteenth session of the Intergovernmental Committee for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage is fast approaching. With over 900 participants already registered, this will be the second time the living heritage global community comes together in person in the Latin America and Caribbean region.
The meeting will take place in the Conmebol Convention Centre and the Grand Bourbon Hotel in Asunción, Republic of Paraguay from 2 to 7 December 2024.
Coming from all around the globe, participants will have the occasion to celebrate numerous expressions of living heritage, in particular through inscriptions. In parallel, an engaging array of over 50 side events will take place, exploring diverse themes related to the safeguarding of living heritage, and the ICH NGO forum will be holding its annual general assembly.
