Filip Petkovski, PhD, is an ICH and dance researcher, and cultural heritage expert from North Macedonia. He holds a PhD in Culture and Performance from UCLA, and an MA in Dance Knowledge, Practice, and Heritage from a Consortium of four European universities. His research focuses on dance heritage, cultural policy, and heritage safeguarding in Southeast Europe. As the President of the Society for Research, Safeguarding, and Promotion of Cultural Heritage VULGUS, he has led educational programs, workshops, and community initiatives dedicated to the documentation, transmission, and promotion of living heritage. He combines academic research, artistic practice, and public engagement to support inclusive and sustainable approaches to safeguarding intangible cultural heritage
