Mr. Bély Hermann is the current Director of Cultural Heritage at the Ministry of Culture. He has overseen the implementation of several UNESCO projects in his country and led the process of preparing national and multinational applications for international assistance. As a doctoral student in History of Law and Institutions at the University of Perpignan (France) and Senghor University in Alexandria (Egypt), his research focuses on the legal protection of cultural heritage in Burkina Faso. A core feature of his work is the role of communities such as traditional chiefdoms in preserving cultural heritage.
