Getachew Senishaw Limeneh holds a PhD in Social Anthropology from Addis Ababa University and serves as an Associate Professor of Social Anthropology there. He has published over 19 works and presented at more than ten international conferences. His experience covers intangible cultural heritage inventorying, safeguarding, and management, from expert to director levels, at the Ethiopian Heritage Authority. From 2020 to 2022, he was a member of the Evaluation Body. He also advises UNESCO Addis Ababa on several cultural issues. Thematic areas of experience or interest: community-based inventorying, listing mechanisms (nomination), international assistance, sustainable development, climate change, indigenous knowledge, and livelihood.
