Aijarkyn Kojobekova (Aizharkyn Kozhobekova) is Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation at Ala-Too International University and an expert in ICH, memory studies, and social resilience in Central Asia. With over twenty years of experience, she brings together academic research, teaching, and university leadership with active involvement in international initiatives on safeguarding ICH.

Her work focuses on connecting heritage with education, gender equality, sustainable development, and climate change. She contributes to regional and international programmes across Central Asia and the Asia-Pacific and serves as a member of the UNESCO Memory of the World RSC for Asia-Pacific (MOWCAP) and the MoW RSC for the International Register. She works in Kyrgyz, Russian, and English.
