Ms. Gunjan Joshi is an independent cultural heritage professional with a specialization in the ICH of India. She has over a decade of experience in the field - coordinating and curating events, community-based initiatives, workshops, conferences along with conducting research & documentation of the ICH of India. As a consultant, she has worked with organizations such as INTACH, AIACA, AIMA, Culture Masters, IGNCA, KNMA, Ministry of Culture (India), as well as with the UNESCO Clearinghouse on Living Heritage & Education and is also a member of ICOMOS. She has represented India at various national and international trainings and workshops. She actively contributes as a speaker, trainer, rapporteur in different forums, as well as a writer with published articles in this field. She has to her credit, her publication - ‘Kashi Chitran-Living Heritage of Varanasi’ (2021), which was an outcome of her 5 year-long project work for INTACH.
Additionally, she is a trained Indian classical dancer in Seraikella Chhau and Odissi, with over 18 years of experience in training and performance, enabling her to bridge the roles of practitioner and facilitator through embodied engagement with living heritage.
