In the framework of the needs assessment activity carried out in Kenya, one-day consultative multi-stakeholders’ workshop was held in Nairobi the 7 February 2017, gathering thirty persons.The major focus of the workshop was to familiarizing participants with the Intangible Heritage Convention, its basic concepts, and to presenting the objectives of the global capacity-building strategy, the status of the national legal framework concerning culture and the status of intangible cultural heritage safeguarding in Kenya.
During the workshop, the participants analyzed the capacity-building needs in Kenya and identified priority issues to be addressed in future capacity-building interventions.
