With a Ph.D. in Literature, Professor Ibrahima Wane has been teaching oral African literature at Cheikh Anta Diop University (UCAD) in Dakar since 2004. He is the Programme Director for the Master’s programme in African literature in the Department of Modern Literature. He is also Director of the African Literature, Languages, and Societies Research Centre in the Faculty of Literature and Humanities at UCAD. Since 2018, Professor Wane has served as Senegal’s focal point for the 2003 Convention.
