With a Ph.D. in cultural anthropology, Nouha Spiga has worked as a researcher at the Algerian Centre for Anthropological, Prehistoric and Ethnographic Research (CNRPAH) in Algiers since 2011. Her research focuses on social practices related to the dynamics of safeguarding Intangible Cultural Heritage. She also works with local and regional stakeholders to support community initiatives to preserve Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH), particularly in the areas of Oasian traditional skills and practices related to sustainable development, as well as musical traditions in the Saoura and Constantine regions.
