As a cultural heritage professional with some 20 years of experience in cultural administration, Moctar Sanfo is a professor and researcher in culture, specializing in cultural heritage. He has worked in administration, as Curator of the Georges Ouedraogo Museum of Music, Director of Museum Promotion, Director General of Cultural Heritage, and Director General of Culture and the Arts. In these various roles, he has coordinated several programmes to safeguard Intangible Cultural Heritage. He works as an expert and is a member of both the Global Network of Facilitators for the 2003 Convention and the ICOMOS International Committee for Intangible Cultural Heritage.
