Following his tenure at the National Museum of Mali, Mr Fallo Baba Keita pursued a career in international cooperation. In this capacity, he supported ICCROM in the management and transfer to Africa of its first long-term programme, PREMA 1990–2000, which led to the establishment of the École du Patrimoine Africain (EPA) in Benin. He was one of the programme’s key contributors from 1998 to 2004.

From 2005 to 2010, he served first as a Specialist and subsequently as Programme Coordinator for Africa 2009 at ICCROM in Rome, Italy. From July 2010 to October 2014, he served as Director of the École du Patrimoine Africain (EPA). Since 2015, he has worked as an independent heritage expert and consultant. Based in Bamako, Mali, he contributes to the implementation of numerous heritage projects across Africa, including initiatives focused on intangible cultural heritage in Mali, The Gambia, Burkina Faso, and Côte d’Ivoire.
