Marie Thierry Edjoa Akoa graduated from the National Institute of Youth and Sports. Her undergraduate and graduate theses focused, respectively, on animation science and techniques as catalysts for cultural heritage and on women’s contributions to community development. She started out as a senior official at the Cameroon Ministry of Youth from 2010 to 2013, then headed the Multipurpose Youth Development Centre at the Ministry of Youth and Civic Education. She later served as the Deputy Director of Cultural Diversity at the Ministry of Arts and Culture, and now holds the position of Cultural Heritage Director at the Cameroon Ministry of Arts and Culture.
