The working documents for the seventeenth session of the Intergovernmental Committee for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage (17.COM) are now online. They include the recommendations of the Evaluation Body for the 2022 cycle’s nominations, Periodic Reports submitted by States Parties in Europe, an update on the reflection on a broader implementation of Article 18 of the Convention and as well as a discussion on thematic initiatives concerning living heritage and sustainable development.
The 17.COM will be chaired by H.E. Mr Samir Addahre, Ambassador and Permanent Delegate of the Kingdom of Morocco to UNESCO, and that it will be held in the Kingdom of Morocco in Rabat (Sofitel Rabat Jardin des Roses) from 28 November to 3 December 2022.
An opening ceremony offered by the host country will take place at Royal Club Equestre Dar Essalam in Rabat from 7:00p.m. to 9:00p.m. on Sunday 27 November 2022.
As the start of the meeting is fast approaching, those participants who are not yet registered are invited to do so online and before Monday 14 November 2022.
