The third edition of the International Day of the Intangible Cultural Heritage will be observed on 17 October 2026. To mark the occasion, a dedicated campaign has been launched to feature activities organized worldwide throughout the month of October.
States Parties to the 2003 Convention, cultural institutions, communities, as well as non-governmental organizations, category 2 centres, UNESCO Chairs and many other stakeholders are invited to contribute by organizing events and activities between 1 and 31 October 2026. These initiatives aim to highlight the diversity and richness of living heritage and raise awareness of the importance of its safeguarding.
