The States Parties to the 2003 Convention are to report periodically on its implementation in their territories and on the status of elements inscribed on the lists of the Convention. Such reports often describe achievements, challenges and difficulties they face in implementing the Convention and can represent a useful monitoring tool for their own future reports, as well as a guidance for other States in similar situations.

With the aim of supporting the States in this exercise, the Intangible Cultural Heritage website now includes a general overview of the situation of each State Party regarding periodic reporting. This includes references to the reports already examined by the Committee and their summaries as well as future deadlines. The forms to be completed for the upcoming deadline of 15 December 2016 can also be downloaded, and they are individualized for the countries concerned.
