Non-governmental organizations (NGOs) active in safeguarding living heritage are invited to submit their requests for accreditation to provide advisory services to the Intergovernmental Committee for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage.

Building on their key role in the safeguarding living heritage, as recognized by Articles 9 and 11 of the 2003 Convention for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage and Chapter III.2 of its Operational Directives, NGOs seeking accreditation shall meet the criteria outlined in paragraph 91 of the Operational Directives.

In line with the Resolution of the General Assembly 10.GA 9, NGOs from under-represented regions that meet the criteria are in particular encouraged to submit accreditation requests.

How to submit a request?

Interested NGOs shall submit their accreditation requests to ich-ngo@unesco.org by 30 April 2025. Requests shall be submitted in English or French, using the latest version of Form ICH-09.

Requests submitted by deadline will be examined by the Committee at its twentieth session in December 2025, for subsequent accreditation by the General Assembly of the States Parties to the Convention in mid-2026.
