The second edition of the International Day of the Intangible Cultural Heritage will be observed on 17 October 2025. To mark the occasion, a dedicated campaign was launched to feature activities organized worldwide throughout the month of October.

States Parties to the 2003 Convention and communities, as well as non-governmental organizations, cultural institutions, category 2 centres, UNESCO Chairs and educational actors, are invited to contribute by organizing events and activities between 1 and 31 October 2025. These initiatives aim to underscore the diversity and richness of living heritage and to raise awareness of the importance of its safeguarding.

A dedicated logo bearing the mention ‘In support of the International Day of the Intangible Cultural Heritage’ has been made available in this context, in accordance with the relevant guidelines.

A poster specially designed for the 2025 edition of the International Day is also ready in the six UN languages for free download to support activities and outreach efforts: https://unesdoc.unesco.org/ark:/48223/pf0000395508

The submission form for activities remains accessible here: https://ich.unesco.org/en/get-involved-01365
