The deadline (15 February 2023) is approaching for 91 non-governmental organizations (NGOs) to submit their reports on the contribution and commitment of their organization to the implementation of the Convention for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage and their relations with the Intergovernmental Committee for the Safeguarding of Intangible Cultural Heritage in the past four years. These are the 91 NGOs who were first accredited by the General Assembly of the States Parties at its third (2010), fifth (2014) or seventh (2018) sessions to provide advisory services to the Committee under the 2003 Convention.

This process provides an opportunity for NGOs to report on and highlight the contribution they are making to the safeguarding of intangible cultural heritage and the implementation of the 2003 Convention, as well as their contribution to the work of the Committee and their capacities to provide it with advisory services.

The reports will be examined by the eighteenth session of the Intergovernmental Committee that will take place from 4 to 9 December 2023 (Gaborone, Republic of Botswana).

The report form (Form ICH-08 Report) is available on the dedicated webpage. For further inquiries, please contact the Secretariat at ICH-NGO@unesco.org.
