Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage in Cyprus
On the ocasion of the 20th Anniversary of the UNESCO Convention for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage, the Cyprus National Commission for UNESCO and the Deputy Ministry of Culture will organise a special event at the Presidential Palace, on 29 June 2023. The bearers, practitioners and experts of intangible cultural heritage in Cyprus, as well as the representatives of government institutions and NGOs involved in identifying and safeguarding ICH are invited to attend the event.
The programme includes brief presentations about the elements inscribed on the National Inventory of Cyprus and the National Register of Good Practices for Safeguarding ICH, a ceremony for awarding the Certificates of Inscription by the Deputy Minister of Culture and screening of a short documentary film dedicated to the elements of Cyprus inscribed on the Representative List of ICH of Humanity and the Register of Good Safeguarding Practices.
