The conference will focus on intangible cultural heritage and its role in contemporary society. We will examine how the Czech Republic is implementing the UNESCO Convention for its safeguarding and present ways to identify and develop it. Through specific examples from both the Czech Republic and abroad, we will demonstrate how intangible heritage shapes our identity and revitalizes local communities. We will also address practical questions, such as how traditions can be utilized in sustainable tourism and how they can contribute to the development of municipalities and regions while strengthening their resilience in the modern world.
