ICH Café

ICH Café

On the occasion of the first International Day of Intangible Cultural Heritage, the National Institute of Folk Culture – an expert organization responsible for implementing the 2003 Convention in Czechia – is launching a new initiative focused on networking of museums responsible for ICH safeguarding in regions.
In Czechia, all 14 regional governments followed the guidance of the Ministry of Culture, created specialized workplaces concentrating on ICH and set up their regional inventories. These institutions have had limited opportunities to meet, exchange ideas, and share problems and good practices. The ICH Café shall provide a new platform where they can meet regularly and create an environment of sharing, leading critical and constructive discussions and building a stronger potential for ICH safeguarding on the national level.
