FOLK EXPO Slovakia 2023
FOLK EXPO Slovakia 2023 is a project whose goal is to present classic and innovative approaches to traditional folk culture, educate, initiate a dialogue about the folklore industry, connect folklore and non-folklore communities, present creative forms of contemporary artists’ views on folklore, share information and use experience new technological possibilities (hardware and software) in scenic folklorism, as well as in the protection, documentation, presentation and promotion of intangible cultural heritage. This edition is dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the Convention for the Safeguarding of the ICH. The event consists of scenic programs, exhibitions, film screenings, lectures, creative workshops, concerts, scientific conferences and presentations of domestic and foreign institutions, joint associations, individuals and communities that deal with intangible cultural heritage.
