Exhibition « Petrykivka painting »

The University of Customs and Finance (UCF) is known in the region and in Ukraine for supporting and developing cultural values. The University has a museum consisting of two parts. The historical part includes expositions dedicated to the history of customs and monetary relations in Ukraine and in the world. The artistic, literary and creative part consists of exhibitions: “Gallery of the Academy of the State Customs Service of Ukraine”, “Photo Exhibition of Volodymyr Tertyshnyk”, “Exhibition of Igor Zaitsev”, “Art Gallery”, “Art Exhibition”, “Photo Exhibition”, “Exhibition of Anatoliy Shchetynin”, “Portraits of Foreign Students”, “Igor Zaitsev School”.

The University is the initiator of ctreation the Association of Museums of the City of Dnipro, established in 2021. The University Museum is included in the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine as to be registrated as state museums of Ukraine. UMSF has received an invitation from the International Association of Customs Museums to become a member.
Within the framework of cooperation agreements between the University and its partners, the University is preparing to open a Cultural Heritage Support Center.
The Cultural Heritage Support Center will become a center for popularizing the best achievements of world culture and will become a basis for training specialists who will further contribute to the reproduction of Ukrainian culture.
Within the project, a cultural exchange plan between cultural and artistic professionals from the Petrykivka community and the city of Rosetto (Italy) has been developed.
The first step will be to organize the exhibition “Petrykivka Painting”, which will be open at the University from September 9th until October 01st 2023.

To develop and implement the project, the memorandums were signed and our partners were involved:

  • Community of artists of the Dnipropetrovsk region;
  • Petrykivska settlment united territorial community;
  • Dnipro Art College.

The university invited representatives of the National Commission of Ukraine for UNESCO and the European organization Europa Nostra to participate in the grand opening of the Center and the Petrykivka Painting exhibition.

The event will include:

  • the grand opening of the Center for Cultural Heritage Support;
  • opening of the permanent exhibition “Petrykivka painting”;
  • master classes by Petrykivka painting specialists;
  • performances of amateur art groups - Ukrainian folklore;
  • opening of the exhibition “Gallery of Arts” - creative achievements of students and staff of the USF;
  • opening of exhibitions of the art gallery of Larina (member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine), Igor Zaitsev (member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine);
  • opening of photo exhibitions by Tetiana Dronova, Oleksandr Krotenko, Volodymyr Tertyshnyk, Yurii Kulyk;
  • presentation of the exposition “Customs in defense of cultural heritage”.
