Day of the Dead, Night of the Souls A Parade and musical homage to those who have left us
As part of the first celebration of the International Day of the Intangible Cultural Heritage (on 17 October), Dragon Dance Theatre, will host a community event featuring local performers of multicultural origins and backgrounds, presenting a parade and musical homage to those who have left us. Day of the Dead, Night of the Souls will take place in a neighbourhood park and will highlight intangible cultural heritage practices in Mexico. We will commemorate the visit of our departed loved ones using traditional songs, puppetry, and masks, including altar and skeleton puppets in the Mexican tradition, as well as traditional songs, poetry, and costumes.
