Conference
The conference on safeguarding experience and best practices will be dedicated to 20th anniversary of Convention 2023, 15th anniversary of Convention ratification by Ukraine and 10th anniversary of the first Ukrainian element (Petrykivka painting) inscribed in the Representative List (2013).
Representatives of Estonia (Margrit Siim) and Croatia (Tamara Nicolic Dieric) will take part in the conference presenting their experience and cooperation with Ukraine. Representatives of the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine, culture organizations will describe the actual situation with ICH safeguarding under conditions of war aggression. Representatives of territories under occupation and battles (Luhansk region) and indigenous peoples (Karaites) will tell about ICH safeguarding in emergencies. This conference will be the first in the set of meetings addressed to the development of new strategies and policies for ICH safeguarding in Ukraine under existing conditions and in post-war perspective.
