A symposium: “Living Heritage: the story of mankind and the sustainability of his knowledge”
The symposium has been organized by Ministry of Culture, Sport and Youth and Oman National Commission for Education, Culture and Science, in collaboration with UNESCO Chair for Heritage Management in Arab Region. It was held at Oman GEOTECH University on 22nd of October 2025. It was under the patronage of the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism for Heritage, with the presence of the Undersecretary of Culture, with other stakeholders in heritage and culture in Oman. It aims to:
- Celebrate the International Day for Intangible Cultural Heritage.
- Highlight the role of stakeholders in safeguarding intangible cultural heritage.
- Introduce the indicators of intangible cultural heritage in the Sultanate of Oman in light of the dimensions of sustainable development.
- Raise community awareness of the role of intangible cultural heritage in healthcare.
