Fourth International Conference on Intangible Cultural Heritage 2023
The 4th International Conference on Intangible Cultural Heritage was organized by the Department of Anthropology, University of Sri Jayewardenepura is one of the very first conferences in this field of studies in Sri Lanka. ICICH will be conducted under the theme “Preserving and Safeguarding Cultural Heritage through Traditional Insights” which promotes folklore research among academia.
The conference encourages research findings from various fields such as Cultural Tourism, Oral Traditions and Expressions, Performing Arts, Social Practices, Rituals and Festive Events, Traditional Craftsmanship, Traditional Food and Agriculture and Traditional Medicine and Traditional Technologies etc.
The 4 th ICICH 2023 is Jointly organized by The Department of Anthropology, University of Sri Jayewardenepura and the UNECO Sri Lankan National Commission.
