From 2017 to 2020, Simbdea participated in the “Intangible Cultural Heritage and Museums Project” (IMP) which explored the variety of approaches, interactions and safeguarding practices in collaboration with museums. In the last six years, (2018-2023), Simbdea was involved in several other projects on ICH at the regional, national and international level, as, inter alia, the experimental “Atlas of ICH” in Tuscany, coordinated by Ecomuseum Casentino (https://www.ecomuseo.casentino.toscana.it/atlantedel-patrimonio-immateriale), a national research project on the festive events called “historical
reenactments” (https://icpi.beniculturali.it/tutela-e-salvaguardia-delle-rievocazioni-storiche/) in collaboration with the “Central Institute for Intangible Heritage”(ICPI) of the Italian Ministry of Culture, and the multinational nomination of “Tocatì, a shared programme for the safeguarding of ICH” to the Register of Good Safeguarding Practices. The innovative Tocatì safeguarding programme is the first Italian experience within the Register of Good Safeguarding Practices (Article 18 of the Convention).
