Relevant projects and initiatives
Heritage Crafts has created the Red List of Endangered Crafts, the first research of its kind in the UK to map traditional craftsmanship by the likelihood it will survive the next generation based on ICH safeguarding principles. Three editions of the Red List of Endangered Crafts have been published, in 2017, 2019, and 2021, with a new edition due to be published in May 2023. Heritage Crafts has raised funds for projects to safeguard endangered ICH and awarded 50 grants to achieve this, with funding sourced for at least 10 more. Heritage Crafts participated actively in the ICH NGO Forum meetings in 2021.
