Born on 25 May 1980 in Beira, Mozambique, holds a degree in Social Sciences from the University of São Paulo (Brazil, 2004) and a Master’s degree in Ethnic and African Studies from the Federal University of Bahia (Brazil, 2010). Since 2007, he has been working as a researcher in the field of Ethnomusicology at ARPAC-Socio-Cultural Research Institute, an agency under the Ministry of Education and Culture of Mozambique. In parallel with his extensive field research experience, during this period he has developed various activities within the scope of the 2003 UNESCO Convention for the Safeguarding of Intangible Cultural Heritage, both in Mozambique and in countries such as Angola, Brazil.
