Ahmet Erman Aral is an Associate Professor at Ankara Hacı Bayram Veli University and Chairholder of the UNESCO Chair on Intangible Cultural Heritage in Formal and Informal Education. He holds an MA in Turkish Folklore (2014), and a PhD (2020) focusing on intangible cultural heritage and education. He conducted postdoctoral research at the University of Antwerp (2021–2022). Since 2022, he has been a member of the UNESCO Global Network of Facilitators and the Intangible Cultural Heritage Experts Committee of the Turkish National Commission for UNESCO. His research focuses on heritage, education, and cultural transmission.
