Ms Reem Alfaqir

I lead the development and implementation of initiatives that promote and preserve the cultural heritage of Saudi Arabia. With a Bachelor of Business Administration in Tourism and Management from Auckland University of Technology, I have over 6 years of experience in the fields of tourism, culture, and heritage. I am also the Chairwoman of Traditional Games at the Saudi Arabian Olympic Committee, where I oversee the organization and participation of Saudi athletes in regional and international competitions that showcase the diversity and richness of our traditional sports. I have strong administration, team building, and leadership skills, and I am passionate about enhancing the awareness and appreciation of our intangible heritage among the public and the world. My mission is to contribute to the cultural and social development of Saudi Arabia and to support its vision of becoming a global leader in culture and heritage. Moreover, with the knowledge and experience I have gained from safeguarding and protecting intangible heritage at the national level, I would like to transfer these competencies to other countries.
