Since 2017 MHI continues to expand the research of (and translate findings from) the Preservation of Endangered Forms of Fataluku Cultural Expression Project, which was funded by the U.S. Ambassadors’ Fund For Cultural Preservation. The project used UNESCO-based ICH inventory forms to record (in written and audiovisual formats) endangered elements of intangible Fataluku cultural expression in the five ICH domains. This project provides greater ability to store and share current and future cultural heritage research with Timorese and international audiences.
