Rajasthan Samagra Kalyan Sansthan (RSKS India) is a grassroots civil society organization founded in 1992, dedicated to advancing the rights and well-being of marginalized communities through initiatives in education, gender equality, and sustainable development. Headquartered in Ajmer, Rajasthan, RSKS India operates with deep cultural sensitivity and community engagement, and has played a significant role in safeguarding the intangible cultural heritage of rural and indigenous communities in the region. The organization recognizes intangible cultural heritage as a cornerstone of community identity, social cohesion, and economic resilience. Through a wide array of long-term, community-driven initiatives, RSKS India actively supports the preservation, transmission, and revitalization of traditional knowledge systems, oral traditions, folklore, and artisanal craftsmanship that define the rich cultural fabric of Rajasthan. With over three decades of community-based work, RSKS India possesses in-depth experience in: A. Revitalization of Traditional Skills and Crafts!! Through its Garment Making and Fashion Designing Vocational Education Centre, RSKS India provides training in indigenous textile techniques, including traditional Rajasthani embroidery, handicrafts, and natural clay craft. By engaging local artisans as trainers, the program facilitates the intergenerational transmission of skills while enhancing the economic resilience of rural women. B. Promotion of Oral Traditions and Folklore!! In initiatives such as the Street Education Program and Pathshala: A Value-Based Education School, RSKS India integrates folk tales, songs, proverbs, and dialects into its non-formal education curriculum. These programs help preserve oral traditions and foster a sense of cultural identity among children and youth. C. Documentation and Community Engagement!! The organization collaborates with local knowledge holders to document rituals, festivals, and traditional ecological knowledge, especially related to agriculture, food preparation, and local healing practices. This documentation is shared through multimedia storytelling, annual report, community exhibitions, and local publications, raising awareness about cultural practices and their importance. D. Safeguarding Rituals, Festivities, and Performing Arts!! RSKS India facilitates community-led celebrations of traditional festivals such as Teej, Deepawali, and Holi, which are accompanied by local music, dance, and rituals. These events serve as living expressions of intangible heritage and provide opportunities for cultural exchange and reinforcement of communal bonds. E. Empowering Women as Custodians of Culture!! Through programs like Her Voice, UDAAN, and Positive Fatherhood, RSKS India emphasizes the role of women in preserving and transmitting cultural values and practices. Women participants are encouraged to share their knowledge of customs, local languages, and heritage-based crafts, strengthening their roles as bearers and transmitters of ICH. For over 32 years, RSKS has positively impacted 400+ villages and slums, addressing 10 key areas, including education, health, agriculture, sanitation, and disability rights. More than 2,50,000 women got benefitted through RSKS India's Different Women Empowerment, EDP, Sustainable Livelihood, Education, Health, Agriculture & Livestock Programs. RSKS India’s inclusive, community-centered, and rights-based approach is closely aligned with the principles of the Convention for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage. Objectives

Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan (RSKS India) is a Grassroots Indian Non Profit organization (NGO) Situated at the FootHill of Aravali Range in Holy City Ajmer District of Rajasthan state. The organization was founded in the year 1992, by the group of young sensitive youths in the interest of the society. RSKS A pioneer organization helping marginalized women & Girls in India The objectives of Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan are as follows, 1. Literacy Creation, Research, Publishing and translation and remain active in other activities research and conservation of rare literature. Installation and handling of libraries. 2. Re salvation splendor of Indian culture. Efforts to preserve cultural heritage. Preservation of culture of extension and research coordinate and expand culture, installation and handling of cultural centers. 3. Indian art, folk and fine art upgrade, conservation research and extension. The museum and art gallery to force the trends that make the installation and the program operates. 4. Handicraft, Indian handloom and micro industries expand and encourage the industry, installation and operating centers by village loan & grants. 5. To create the masses in its attempt by science & technologies. To create a self-employed by the training of science & technologies and establishment and operating of research center and training centers. 6. Expanding education and training. To facilitate from primary education to higher education. To train teachers and learners and the installation and operating centers to do this. Hosted the concert to intensive literacy. Rajasthan Samagra Kalyan Sansthan (RSKS India) has extensive experience in working directly with communities, groups, and practitioners who create, practice, and transmit intangible cultural heritage. Since its inception in 1992, RSKS India has prioritized community-led development by engaging more than 3,000 community-based organizations (CBOs) at the grassroots level. These include Self-Help Groups (SHGs), Women Joint Liability Groups, Skill Net Groups, Kisan Clubs, Adolescent Clubs, and others. Through these partnerships, RSKS India has fostered an environment of collective ownership and empowerment, enabling communities to play a central role in safeguarding and revitalizing their cultural practices. The organization collaborates closely with traditional artisans, folk artists, storytellers, and ecological knowledge holders, supporting them to continue their practices and pass them on to future generations. RSKS India facilitates this collaboration by integrating traditional knowledge into education, skill-building, and livelihood programs, and by organizing cultural workshops, exhibitions, and community events. These participatory platforms allow practitioners to share their expertise, document oral histories, and train youth, ensuring intergenerational transmission of ICH. This inclusive, community-centered approach has yielded long-term, sustainable outcomes at the grassroots level, strengthening cultural identity and enhancing the social and economic well-being of marginalized groups.
