Main areas of work related to the Convention:
Has been actively contributing to safeguard and transmisson of the element, intangible cultural heritage in general, becoming the leading institution in the field of Traditioanl of Turkic Archery in Turkey since 2013. The Archers Foundation carries out cultural and artistic organizations, projects related to researching, academic publishing for safeguarding of the ich elements. By inventory-making the living masters of Traditional Turkic Archery, the Foundation provides new ateliers to the masters for training and transmitting the element to new apprentices and practitioners who will safeguard the element and related craftsmanship for the next generations. The Archers Foundation, with its experienced and high-energy team, who is proud to share their knowledge and experience in every field, is sensitive to the safeguard and transmit the Traditional Turkic Archery by organizing its activities in line with this purpose.
Objectives
The Archers Foundation was established with aim of revitalize Traditional Turkic Archery, training new athletes in this field, drawing attention to the historical, cultural background of Turkic Archery and operating on the aforementioned ancestral heritage, as clearly stated in the founding intention. The Archers Foundation, at the same time, continues its activities by creating various strategies in order to spread and apply Traditional Turkic Archery in the national and international field.
The mission of the Archers Foundation is to revitalize, maintain and safeguard traditional Turkic archery, as well as the ancestral sports and traditional values.
Vision of the Foundation, as well as the Traditional Turkic Archery, becoming the leading institution for safeguarding of the intangible cultural heritage in Turkey, which enhances raising awareness in the public interest, to be a good example for other related bodies or NGO’s.
