PGILH has collaborated with an Iranian heritage NGO active on a project for safeguarding Varamin Pottery as an ICH element (in Tehran Province), for its effective transmission
and future viability. Conducted through close collaboration with a group young people who were trained by four senior masters from the local community, this project also aimed
to provide young people with economic opportunities tied to the element. PGILH has also conducted a comprehensive field survey on the impacts of Covid-19 on handicraft
workshops across Iran, in collaboration with IRCI (Japan).
